Medical Detox

At Matthews Hope Detox and Recovery Program, we believe beginning the counseling process early during detox is essential to the foundational success of long-term recovery. In addition to a safe medical detox protocol, we use an individually prescribed course of treatment to include specialized counseling techniques which initiates certain philosophies to improve mental cognitions and promote changed behaviors.

Upon admission to the detox program, patients will be assigned a therapist/counselor to begin developing an individualized treatment plan.

At MHDRP we provide patient specific regimens of detox medications to both help the patient clear his/her system from the drug or alcohol and to keep him/her medically safe during the initial days of detox.

Brain Gauge

Each patient will receive a brain map upon admission to the program. Brain mapping is the study of the anatomy and the function of the brain and spinal cord using imaging, immunohistochemistry molecular & optogenetics, stem cell and cellular biology, engineering, neurophysiology and nanotechnology. It is used as a guide to assist the clinicians in providing the most advanced neurotherapy that is tailored to each patient’s brain. It provides a map of the brain and where the injuries have occurred so that each spot can be treated with the appropriate modality.

IASIS – Neurocurrent Modulation

IASIS is a non-invasive form of brain stimulation that uses electromagnetic induction to cause a changing magnetic field in specific areas of the brain. The science behind IASIS is showing diagnostic and therapeutic potential in the central nervous system with the ability to help individuals with a wide variety of neurological, mental health, and addiction disorders. This is great news for those who suffer with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, and addiction disorders.

IASIS will also help to improve sleep, focus and reduction in stress, anxiety and depression.

BioSound Neurofeedback

This is a non-invasive modality that rebalances the brain by shifting the way it produces and distributes its electrical energy. This energy shift takes abnormal brainwave patterns and makes them normal again. This helps the brain to self-regulate itself using software that automatically detects when the brainwaves patterns are normal and feeds that information back to the patient in real time. The feedback appears in the form of a game, movie, or sound that are controlled by the patient’s brainwaves. This helps the brain learn to improve its own regulation.

After Care

During the detox process at Mathew’s Hope Detox and Recovery Program, Medical & Mental Health Professionals assist the patient in developing a relapse prevention plan. We work with several community partners to ensure our patients get the best continuum care possible. Incorporated with our Recovery Support Team, the patient at the right time will be referred to the appropriate next level of care such as Residential, Partial, and/ or intensive outpatient programs.
During detox, MHDRP sets clear guidelines with the patient for continuity of care that extends for 24 months upon discharge. This continued contact care empowers the patient to maintain successful abstinence from intoxicating substances, sustaining quality recovery from substance use disorder and overall wellness in their life. Matthews Hope Detox and Recovery Program truly values aftercare & supports clients to move toward greater purpose in their life.

Counseling

Addiction can cause mental health to decline. Counseling is an essential element of fulfilling our mission in providing complete healing and recovery to every patient. With IASIS MCN, counseling is more impactful because the mind is clear and able to absorb information at a faster more receptive rate, thus making Matthew’s Hope Detox and Recovery Program approach to treatment unique. In addition, Matthew’s Hope encompasses evidence based behavioral therapies such as CBT & DBT. Matthew’s Hope also provides faith-based guidance & Spiritual Direction and introduces the 12-step philosophy.

 SPIRITUAL CONNECTION AND THERAPY

Led by our Clinical Director, Jennifer Collins, MHDRP has a unique spiritual therapy model. This technique, used for many years has proven to be extremely effective in establishing that much needed healing and spiritual connection that encourages success in recovery.

We believe that the aspect of a person’s spirituality can be a fundamental dimension in wellness. Wellness is not only experiencing freedom from disease, but also experiencing healthy functioning in multiple dimensions of life. The clinical staff at MHDRP integrate spirituality to assist in recovery by treating the underlying symptoms of anxiety, depression and a need to avoid.
MHDRP wants our clients to move toward greater purpose in their life.
